Description

Malting Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. It has two storeys and attics, constructed with a timber frame and rendered exterior, topped with a double Roman tiled roof. The building features an internal chimney stack with four attached hexagonal shafts on a square base. The windows are irregularly arranged, with various 19th-century casement windows. There is a lobby entrance, and along the west end, there is a later single-storey lean-to with a pantiled roof. Inside, the timbers are largely covered, but the ground storey rooms have ovolo-moulded main beams. The house is oriented sideways to the road.
