Description

Chicheley Manor is a house dating from the late 16th or early 17th century. It is timber-framed with roughcast render and has a clay tile roof. Parts of the ground floor have been rebuilt using brick. The house originally comprised two rooms, arranged over two storeys and with attics. The south elevation features two 3-light casement windows on the ground floor, dating from the 20th century. Above, there are two further 3-light casement windows, alongside a 2-light casement window, all incorporating glazing bars. A central plank door is set within a 20th-century glazed lean-to porch. A multiple ridge stack, with rebuilt diagonally set shafts, is positioned centrally along the roofline. Single-storey lean-to additions and a hipped-roofed addition are located at the rear of the property.
