Description

The farmhouse at Roxhill Manor Farm dates to the 17th century, with extensions added in the 18th century. It is timber-framed with colourwashed roughcast render and has clay tile roofs. The original part of the house is a two-storey L-shaped plan, while a later one-and-a-half storey block adjoins it to the southwest. The southeast elevation of the 18th-century block on the left has two three-light casement windows on the ground floor, a gabled dormer in the attic, and a rebuilt red brick ridge stack. The earlier part has a slightly projecting gable with one three-light casement window on each floor and a 20th-century porch on the right. A block to the right of this section has a 19th-century canted bay window containing sash windows on the ground floor and a three-light casement window on the first floor. The cross-wing has a rebuilt red brick ridge stack, and the right-hand block has a rebuilt red brick integral gable end stack. Inside the right-hand block, a fireplace incorporates a piece of worked clunch which appears to be a doorhead.
