Description
Beancroft Farmhouse is a house dated 1797 above the doorway, located on Beancroft Road in Marston Moretaine. It is constructed of red brick, which is mottled with some flared headers, and features clay tile roofs. The building is a two-storey L-plan block with 19th and 20th-century additions within the angle.
The main southeast elevation is symmetrical, with the ground floor featuring two 3-light casements. The first floor has two 3-light casements flanking a 2-light casement. All windows have glazing bars and are set under gauged brick flat arches. The central doorway includes a door with six fielded panels and a semi-circular fanlight without glazing bars, all under a gauged brick semi-circular arch. A flat hood supported by cut brackets is above the door. The farmhouse has integral brick stacks at both gable ends, with the right-hand one having been rebuilt, and a cogged brick eaves cornice.
