Description
Lower Wood End Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with later alterations. It is timber framed and has a colourwashed roughcast render, although some parts of the ground floor appear to have been rebuilt in brick. The roof is covered with 20th-century tiles. The building is two storeys and has an L-shaped plan, with the southeast block being the earlier section. Throughout the farmhouse, there are 2 and 3-light casement windows. A 20th-century plank door is located in the north block within the west angle. There is a red brick multiple ridge stack on the southeast block and a colourwashed integral gable end stack on the north block.
