Description
Shelton Manor is a house dating from the 16th century, with later alterations. It features close-studded timber framing with colour washed brick and plaster infill, topped with clay tile roofs. The building is a long rectangular two-storey structure with a jettied first floor. A single-storey addition from the 19th century is located at the centre of the front, constructed of colour washed brick and topped with a hipped tile roof. To the right of the main block, there is a slightly lower two-storey addition with lighter timber framing.
On the ground floor, the main block has two three-light casement windows, along with a canted bay window and a casement window in the 19th-century addition. The first floor features four three-light casement windows, all of which retain their leaded lights. There is a part-glazed door on the left side, sheltered by an open porch with a sloping roof, and a plank door on the right side, which is topped by a rectangular fanlight. The house has an external brick stack on the left gable end and two substantial red brick ridge stacks.
