Description

Wood Farmhouse is an original 17th-century timber-framed house. It has a concrete tile roof and rendered infill. The front of the house was rebuilt in the late 18th or early 19th century in brick, and subsequently plastered over. The original house has two storeys. The front has two 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor and two 20th-century French doors on the ground floor. A 20th-century gabled porch bearing the date 1620 is also present. In the 18th century, the left-hand bay was altered to project beyond the original building line, and a timber-framed and plastered lean-to was added to the rear. The right-hand side of the house has been extensively altered. A timber-framed and plastered gabled wing of one storey and attics extends to the rear.
