Description

This is an 18th-century packhorse bridge located to the northwest of the farmhouse at Fulling Mill Farm. The bridge is constructed of stone rubble, incorporating a brick parapet and brick voussoirs. It features a single, rounded-head arch with a stone keystone. The downstream side has a longer parapet than the upstream side, which is also punctuated by a brick end pier. The bridge is of historical interest as a reminder of the fulling process, where processed cloth was stored in the farmhouse and transported across the bridge by packhorses for sale at market.
