Description

This former cart shed or store, located about 60 metres south-south-west of Mill Place Farm House, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The building features three timber-framed bays and is single-storey, standing on a red brick plinth. The roof is half-hipped, and the front (east) gable end is open, with no windows. Inside, there are shaped jowls and knee braces supporting the tie-beams. The roof structure includes staggered butt purlins with raked queen struts to the rafters, bevelled studs, and a face-halved wall-plate scarf joint.
