Description
30 and 32 Hythe Road is a house, now a row of houses, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a plain tile roof. The building faces away from the current road and has two storeys plus a garret. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and hipped on the right. There are rear stacks on both the left and right sides, as well as a stack on the right-hand wing. The front features an irregular arrangement of three 12-pane glazing bar sash windows. The original door is located behind a 20th-century glazed porch, positioned between the left and central windows. There is a short two-storey rear wing on the left and a 1½-storey rear wing on the right, both with hipped roofs and each having a door that leads to the road. The interior has not been inspected.
