Description

The ruins of Christ Church, built between 1850 and 1851 by Sydney Smith, are located on Sandgate Road in Folkestone. Currently, only the tower remains, as the rest of the church was destroyed by a bomb during the Second World War. The tower features four stages and is constructed of stone rubble, with buttresses, crockets, and stone gargoyles adorning the parapet.
