Description

The statue of William Harvey is located on a stone plinth in Folkestone. William Harvey, known for discovering the circulation of the blood, was born in this town. The bronze statue, created by A B Joy in 1881, depicts a full-length figure dressed in 17th century costume, with one hand symbolically touching his heart.
