Description
Park Cottages is a pair of houses dating from the 18th century. They are built of painted brick and have a plain tile roof. The design is T-shaped, with the main section facing the road and a left cross-wing that projects both at the front and rear. The buildings are two storeys high and feature a brick plinth. The cross-wing has a hipped roof at both the front and rear, while the main range also has a hipped roof sloping to the right, with both sections sharing similar eaves and ridge lines.
There are brick stacks: one at the center of the cross-wing, another towards the right end of the main range, and a projecting brick stack at the right gable end. The main range has irregular window arrangements, including two six-pane sash windows in open boxes. The front gable end of the wing has one two-light casement window, and the left face of the wing has a regular two-window front with six-pane sashes in open boxes, similar to the ground floor.
The doors feature flush panels and flat bracketed hoods, with one located under the main-range stack for No. 2 and another at the center of the left face of the wing for No. 1. There is also a painted brick lean-to with a plain tile roof at the left end of the main range, where it meets the wing. The interior has not been inspected.
