Description
Mounts Court Farm House is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 17th century and restored in the late 20th century. It is constructed of red and grey brick in English bond and features a plain tile roof. The building has a central-entry plan and stands two storeys high on a chamfered brick plinth. There is a brick buttress towards the left end of the front elevation and a gabled roof. The house has a projecting brick gable-end stack in English bond on a similar plinth to the left, with another stack to the right. The front has a regular three-window arrangement of three-light casements, with segmental heads on the ground floor windows. Central to the front are boarded double doors. To the right, there is a broad rear return wing, possibly from two different periods, made of red and grey brick in Flemish bond, featuring a dentilled brick eaves cornice. The left side of the left section of the wing is tile-hung. The roof has plain tiles with two rear hips, and there is a brick rear lean-to to the left of the main range, along with a lean-to on the right side of the wing. The interior has not been inspected.
