Description
This house, located in Elham Shuttlesfield, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century and is timber framed. The front elevation is covered in weatherboarding, while the right gable end is also weatherboarded on the ground floor and tile-hung above. It features a steeply-pitched hipped roof with a plain tile covering and stands two storeys high on a plinth made of flint and stone. The house has a central brick ridge stack and a regular two-window front with small two-light casements, which are slightly larger on the ground floor. A central boarded door is accessed by four steps. At the rear, there is a lean-to, and to the left, there is a single-storey addition clad with tarred weatherboarding and topped with a hipped plain tiled roof, set back from the front elevation. The interior has not been inspected.
