Description

Frenches is a mid-19th century building located on The Esplanade in Sandgate. It consists of two parallel ranges and is two storeys high, with a stuccoed exterior and a hipped slate roof. The building features a wide moulded eaves cornice and three windows, which are now mullioned and transomed casements, with two of these being three-light bays. On the ground floor, there is a tent-shaped canopy supported by iron trellis work. Additionally, the side elevation has four sashes with intact glazing bars. Frenches and Littlebourne Lodge form a group.
