Description

This barn, located about 150 metres northwest of Knowlton Court, dates from the 16th century and was clad in around 1718. It features a timber frame covered with red brick laid in English bond, and the roof is finished with asbestos sheeting. The structure has a brick plinth and ventilation slits, along with large central metal sliding doors. The right-hand gable end is marked with the date D. I E 1718. Inside, the barn has a large scantling frame consisting of five bays with tall aisles, passing shores to the arcade posts, and a renewed queen strut roof.
