Description

This barn, located about 50 metres northeast of Crixhall Court, dates from the 17th century or early 18th century. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped by a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn features a half-hipped roof with a hipped mid-stray. Inside, there are seven bays with tall aisles, where the arcade ties and posts are braced, and the shores are tenoned into the aisle ties rather than passing through. The roof structure includes clasped purlins.
