Description

Claypits is a house dating from the early 18th century and around 1800. It is constructed of red and brown brick and has a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high and features stacks at the left end, centre right, and right end. The right end bay is a later addition, and a kneelered gable associated with the centre right stack indicates the original end wall. On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sashes, while the ground floor has two segmentally headed glazing bar sashes with a small leaded light to the left, along with a central half-glazed door set in a kneelered gabled porch. The extension to the right has one segmental glazing bar sash on each floor.
