Description

Bosun's Cottage is a corner building located at No 15 Oak Street, dating from the early 19th century. It is two storeys high with attics and has a stuccoed exterior. The building features a tiled roof with one dormer and a gable facing Oak Street. There is a parapet with stone coping. Each elevation has one sash window with verticals only. On the Wood Yard elevation, there is a stringcourse and a simple cambered doorcase. The Oak Street elevation includes a mid-19th century shop front supported by console brackets. Nos 13 and 15 Oak Street form a group, and No 15 also forms a group with No 3 Wood Yard.
