Description

The Star and Garter Hotel is a late 18th or early 19th century building of two and three storeys. The central portion is stuccoed with a parapet and a tiled roof, featuring two dormers. It originally had three windows and a doorcase with pilasters and a cornice, flanked by two sections of three and one window bay respectively. The left section has a three-light window on the first floor; the right section features two one-light windows and three sash windows on the ground floor. The hotel forms a group with numbers 105 to 117 (odd) on Beach Street and is of group value.
