Description
The Royal Hotel is an early 19th-century building that stands four storeys tall and is finished in stucco. The front facade is plain and features four sash windows with intact glazing bars. The entrance is highlighted by a pedimented doorcase that displays the Royal Coat of Arms, flanked by reeded pilasters and brackets. The side elevation mirrors the front in style. At the rear, there is an early 20th-century extension that rises three storeys and is constructed of red brick. This extension has a slate mansard roof with four dormers, along with a bracket cornice and stringcourses, and also includes five sash windows with intact glazing bars.
