Description
21 Trinity Church Square is a corner building dating from the early 18th century. It stands three storeys tall and is finished in painted stucco with rusticated quoins and a Welsh slate roof. The building features a plinth, and the east elevation has two windows with flush frames and keystones, which are hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor showcases a canted early 19th-century bay window with glazing bars, alongside an attractive double-bayed 18th-century shop front that includes a central door with a rectangular traceried fanlight, all beneath a moulded cornice and small pediments with rendered stall risers. The south elevation has three double-hung sash windows with glazing bars and keystones, as well as a late 19th-century shop window with a panelled base. There is a 19th-century doorway featuring plain pilasters, a dentil cornice, and a glazed door accessed by four steps with iron handrails. To the right, there is a small early 19th-century canted bay with a dentil cornice and a rendered base. The building is noted for its shop fronts. Nos 19 to 21 Trinity Church Square form a group.
