Description
No 1 Mill Wall Place is a brick-built building that exhibits characteristics of the 15th century, although it likely dates from the end of the 16th century. The front is finished with plain tiles, while the rear features a combination of plain tiles with a hip and pantiles. The brickwork has been plastered. On the first floor, there are two small box sash windows that are not original, and on the ground floor, there is one large box sash window, which has an upper sash with glazing bars and a lower part without, also not original. The front door is original and consists of three panels. No 1, along with the outbuilding and the other buildings from Nos 1 to 23 (odd) The Chain and Nos 4 to 12 (even) Church Street St Clements, forms a group.
