Description
No 5, Church Square is a building that dates from the 16th or 17th century and was refronted in the early 19th century. It features a double gabled front with an old tiled roof. The building has two windows that were originally in 19th century stucco surrounds with bracketed cornices, but these have been replaced with flush metal easements. The second floor used to have wide Yorkshire casements, while the first floor had sash windows. The ground floor has a modern shop front with a tall fascia and no cornice. This building, along with the Church of All Saints, the Churchyard Gates, and the nearby Antelope Public House, forms a group with Nos 1 to 3 High Street.
