Description
No 2 Church Square is a building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of plum-coloured brick with red brick dressings and flush quoins, topped with a Welsh slate roof that features an eaves cornice. The building stands three storeys tall and has modern shop windows on the ground floor, which has been extended forward and lacks a cornice on the fascia. The upper floors each have four sash windows set in reveals, with 19th-century glazing and flat arches above the first-floor windows. This building is part of a group that includes the Church of All Saints, the Churchyard Gates, the Antelope Public House, and Nos 5 and 6, forming a cohesive architectural ensemble with Nos 1 to 3 High Street.
