Description

Dated 1752, 13 The Chain is a two-storey, two-window building constructed of red brick, with an eaves cornice and vertical glazing bars to the first-floor windows. The building features a modern shop front. However, an earlier building, dating from the early 17th century, is incorporated within the later structure. Numbers 1 to 23 (odd) along The Chain, together with numbers 4 to 12 (even) on Church Street St Clement, and number 1, along with its outbuildings at Millwall Place, form a group.
