Description

No. 5 The Chain is a mid-18th century house featuring brick dentil eaves. It has two box sash windows with glazing bars that create 16 squares. The roof is tiled and includes a small hipped dormer. The entrance has a simple door casing surround and entablature, with a six-panel door that has the upper two panels glazed. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 23 (odd) and Nos 4 to 12 (even) on Church Street, St Clement, as well as No. 1 and the outbuildings at Millwall Place.
