Description
No. 4 Griffin Street is an early to mid 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall with a basement, featuring a stuccoed exterior. The ground floor is rusticated, while the two upper floors are adorned with plain pilasters that are connected by a segmental arch with a keystone, supporting a moulded cornice. The building has a symmetrical arrangement of windows, with two large windows flanked by one smaller window on each side, and most of the glazing bars remain intact. The upper floor windows are set within moulded architraves, and the ground floor windows have cambered heads. The left side of the building features a doorcase with an entablature, plain pilasters, and a fielded panelled door that has two upper panels that are cut away and glazed, accessed by two stone steps. This property is part of a group with Nos. 1 to 10 Griffin Street.
