Description
Holly Tree House and Sunshine Cottage are a pair of houses located on the north side of The Green in Shepherdswell and Coldred. They date from the early 18th century and have a mid-19th century exterior. The buildings are constructed of painted brick with a plain tiled roof. They are two storeys high and consist of two separate builds. The left side features a plinth and a plat band, while the right end bay has vermiculated quoins and a higher eaves line. The roof is hipped, with stacks on the left and at the rear right. Sunshine Cottage has two wooden casements on each floor, along with a central gabled porch that has half-glazed doors. To the right, there is a sash window on the first floor and a canted bay window on the ground floor, with a glazed door to the left of it. At the rear right, there is a recessed two-storey wing that includes a sash window on the first floor and a glazed door. The buildings are included for their group value.
