Description

The Bricklayers' Arms is a public house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It features a timber frame that is clad with rendered brick, along with tile hanging on the return elevations and weatherboarding at the rear. The building has been extended to the right with painted brick and flint, which is exposed on the right return. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys high with an attic, characterized by a half-hipped roof and stacks located to the left, at the centre rear right, and projecting at the end right. There are two flat-roofed dormers. On the first floor, there are two mullioned and transomed windows along with a central glazing bar sash. The ground floor has two segmentally headed plate glass windows and a central half-glazed door topped with a raking hood. To the right, there is a half-hipped wing that is one storey and attic high, set on a rendered plinth with a stack at the end right and a flat-roofed dormer. A boarded door and a glazing bar sash are located to the right.
