Description
Oasts and farm offices located about 160 metres north-west of Knowlton Court date back to the 17th century but were largely altered and extended in the mid-19th century. They are constructed of red brick in English bond with a plain tiled roof. The building features three gabled ranges, with a roundel at the right end, although the cowl is missing. The left wing has one wooden casement window on each floor and two hipped dormers on the left return, along with a boarded door and wooden casements on the ground floor. The two-storey block has a recessed ground floor, moulded brick gable ends, and stacks on the left and centre left. The brick roundel in the gable displays Star of David tracery, and there are two segmentally headed wooden casements on each floor. The stowage area for the oast kiln includes a loft door and raking joist housing on the first floor, with the roundel at the right end. This building is included for its group value.
