Description
Wood Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It has a timber frame that is clad with red brick and features a plain tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with a hipped roof that has gablets and a central cluster of stacks. On the first floor, there are four leaded wooden casements, and on the ground floor, there are three leaded wooden casements with segmental heads. The central entrance consists of a glazed door. To the left of the main structure, there is an outshot, and a 20th-century wing has been added to the rear. Inside, the timber frame is visible. To the east of the cottage, there are archaeological remains of a medieval manorial site.
