Description
Jasmine Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is built of grey brick with red brick dressings and features an old plain-tile half-hipped gambrel roof with lead ridges. The cottage has a brick end stack on the right and a ridge stack at the rear left. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a three-window range. The central entrance features a six-panel door with an overlight, surrounded by a painted wood reeded surround and a flat hood. All window openings have 16-pane unhorned sashes, except for the first-floor centre, which has a 12-pane unhorned sash. Each window is framed with painted wood architrave surrounds. There is a flat brick band between the ground and first floors, and a brick dentil course at the eaves. The cottage also has two gabled full dormers with 20th-century two-light casements. Inside, there is an 18th-century straight flight staircase with winders that leads from the ground floor to the attic, located to the right of the centre.
