Description

This is an early 19th century building comprising four properties, located at 4-7 St Mary’s Street. The building is constructed of brick, with a render applied to the front elevation, and features a slate roof. A stone parapet with a moulded stone cornice runs along the top, and a string course divides the two storeys. There are four sash windows with intact glazing bars on each floor, with blank panels positioned above the first-floor windows. A string course also runs below these upper panels. Each property has a round-headed doorcase, incorporating keystones, and panelled doors. The building has a plinth and original footscrapers are still in place. Nos 1 to 7, including this property, form a notable architectural group.
