Description

These are a group of mid-19th century buildings, originally municipal buildings, forming a group with Nos 14 to 23 Dane John. They are three storeys high with a basement and attics, and have a slate mansard roof punctuated by eight dormers, each with a pediment. The windows are eight-sash, with stone sills; some retain original glazing bars. The ground floor is rusticated. Nos 12, 12A and 15 retain a stone balustrade, and there are seven steps leading up to the ground level.
