Description

Nos 9 and 10 Worthgate Place are an early 18th-century pair of buildings. They are constructed of red brick with tile-hung gables facing the road and an old tiled mansard roof in two hips. Each building has two storeys and attics. The front elevations feature a cambered sash window with intact glazing bars. No 9 has a side entrance with a flat hood supported by console brackets, and a 6-panelled door. No 10 has a modern hood and a 6-panelled door. A rainwater head is also present. The rear elevation is dated 1818 with the names Frick and Becker, likely referring to a restoration at that time. Nos 1 to 10 form a group.
