Description

49 High Street is an early 19th-century building constructed of red brick with a rusticated stone ground floor. It stands four storeys tall and features three windows, which are sashes with glazing bars and gauged brick lintels. The first-floor windows have cast iron balcony rails. The ground floor includes round arch windows and a door on the left with a rusticated surround, topped by an arched fanlight with radial bars. The building has moulded eaves. This property, along with Nos 4 to 49 and Nos 1, 2, and 4 St Mary's Street, forms a group of listed buildings.
