Description

This building, number 7 High Street, dates from around 1560. It was formerly the Corn Exchange, and the ground floor has been altered with modern shop fronts. The upper storey is stuccoed and features a row of five double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. These windows are separated by Ionic pilasters and have elaborately moulded segmental heads. A further double-hung sash window to the left is slightly recessed, set within an arched head and elaborate surround. The building forms a group with numbers 3 to 7 High Street.
