Description

The School Canteen is a building that serves as a school canteen, dating from the 17th century and the 20th century. It features a restored close-studded timber frame with red brick infill, tile hanging, and a plain tile roof. The structure is two stories high and has a projecting floor jetty, a hipped roof with gablets, and three framed bays. The central entrance consists of a plank door with a side light, and there is another plank door to the right on the first floor, accessed by a red staircase and located within a gabled timber porch. This building is included in the register for its group value only.
