Description

By The Way is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier and was clad and extended in the 18th century. It has a timber frame and is rendered, with tile hung return elevations. The roof is plain tiled and features a lobby entry plan. The building has two storeys and an additional storey in the attic, with a hipped roof that steps up at the centre to the left. There is a central stack cluster and a hipped dormer to the right. On the first floor, there is a sash window and a wooden casement to the left, while the ground floor has three wooden casements and a central panelled door with a gabled hood.
