Description
Bank Farmhouse is an 18th-century house located on the south side of Bank Road in Aldington. It is constructed of red brick and ragstone, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building features two storeys set on a ragstone plinth, with a hipped roof that has brick dentilled eaves cornice. There are stacks on the right side of the roof, while the left side is truncated.
The fenestration is regular, consisting of two tripartite sashes with a central sash on the first floor, and two tripartite sashes on the ground floor, accompanied by a central door with six panels, two of which are glazed. The door is accessed by two moulded steps, and the ground floor openings have segmental heads.
At the rear, there is a single-storey wing that is also hipped, featuring a stack and two boarded doors along with a wooden casement. To the left of the front elevation, there is a short length of red brick wall about 8 feet high, with coping that ramps down and extends approximately 10 metres, including a boarded gate. Additionally, there is a ragstone wall projecting from the left return, standing about 9 feet high and extending some 50 metres.
