Description

75 High Street is a timber-framed building that was refaced in the 18th century. It has two storeys, with the front covered in stucco, while the timber-framing with brick infilling is exposed on the west wall. The building features a tiled roof with a renewed brick stack and a modillion eaves cornice. On the first floor, there are four sashes with intact glazing bars. The ground floor has a modern shop front, and to the west of it, there is an 18th-century carriage archway flanked by pilasters. The archway has an entablature above with a relief of two gilded lions in the frieze and double doors, each consisting of six panels. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 51 to 61 (odd), 61A, 63 to 67 (odd), 67A, 69 to 71 (odd), and the rear part of 75, all of which are located in The Churchyard.
