Description
No. 63 High Street is a 16th-century timber-framed house with a plastered front. It has two storeys and features a gable with a moulded bressumer and bargeboards, topped by a tiled roof. The surface of the gable is rough plaster. The first floor jetties out on brackets and has a moulded bressumer with a cove beneath it. There is a four-light modern casement window on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a curved shop window from the 18th or early 19th century, which retains its glazing bars. Inside, the house has exposed beams. The rear elevation facing the Churchyard is tile hung and features a half-hipped gable. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 51 to 61 (odd), 61A, 63 to 67 (odd), 67A, 69 to 71 (odd), 75, and the rear part of 75, all of which are located in The Churchyard.
