Description

No 67 on High Street is a late 18th century to early 19th century building that stands three storeys tall and is finished in stucco. It has a hipped slate roof and features one window on the second floor, which is a sash with intact glazing bars. The first floor has a three-light canted bay, although the glazing bars are missing. The shop front has been added later. The side elevation is tile hung.

Next door, No 69 has an 18th century facade that belongs to a timber-framed building. This property is two storeys high, made of painted brick, and has a renewed tiled roof with an eaves cornice. It features two sashes with intact glazing bars, one of which is a double sash. There is also a later 19th century shop front and doorcase on the west side, which includes a door with six fielded panels, two of which are cut away and glazed. Inside, there are chamfered beams.

The High Street elevation of No 71, like No 67, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is three storeys high, finished in stucco, and has a parapet with moulded coping. The hipped slate roof features a three-light canted bay with verticals only on the upper floors, and there is a modern shop front.

The rear of these properties, which face the Churchyard and include part of No 67, consists of a timber-framed building with a partly overhanging first floor above No 71. The ground floor has been refaced with red brick or stucco, while the upper floor is tile-hung. This section is two storeys tall with attics and has a steeply pitched tiled roof with three hipped dormers. There are four windows in total, including some sashes and casements with intact glazing bars, as well as single doorcases.

These buildings, along with Nos 51 to 61 (odd), 61A, 63 to 67 (odd), 67A, 69, 71, and 75, form a group with all items in the Churchyard.
