Description
This stable or stock house, located about 20 metres northeast of Ruffyn's Hill Farmhouse, dates back to the 18th century and was extended in the early 19th century. It is constructed from ragstone with red brick dressings, featuring weatherboarded gables and a plain tiled roof. The building is a single-storey half-hipped structure that has a central boarded door with a segmental head. There are three ventilation slits to the left and two to the right in a single bay extension, with the brick quoins of the original end wall still visible. The rear elevation, facing the stock yard, includes a segmentally headed half-door, and there are loft doors in the gable ends. This building is included for its group value.
