Description

Grove Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century. It features a timber frame with tile hanging over a rendered ground floor and has a plain tiled roof. The building has a hall house plan and stands two storeys high with an attic on a plinth. The roof is hipped with gablets, and there is a gabled dormer located to the centre right, along with a stack to the centre left. On the right side, there are two three-light wooden casements and one two-light wooden casement on each floor. A boarded door is situated to the centre left within a gabled porch. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot. Inside, the cottage has stud partitions, inglenook fireplaces with a bread oven, and a crown post roof, which has been reported.
