Description
This building is a barn and stables that has been converted into the Wye College Laundry. It dates from the 18th century or earlier, with some early 19th-century elements. The structure is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped by a plain tiled roof that is hipped to the left with a small gablet and half-hipped to the right. There is a brick lean-to boiler house on the right side. The front features two carriage doors and a half-glazed door to the right, accompanied by sidelights. To the left, the building has been extended with a single-storey brick block that has a tiled roof and kneelered parapet gables. This extension includes a blocked three-light Dering window on the left, a wooden casement window to the right, and carriage doors in the centre-right. The building is included for its group value.
