Description
No. 22 Church Street is a house and shop dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of painted brick in an irregular bond and features a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys high on a plinth and has an eaves cornice. There are stacks located to the left and at the rear, with the hip-end of the rear wing extending over the ridge.
On the first floor, there is a single glazing bar sash window, flanked by blocked segmentally headed openings on both sides. The ground floor features a canted bay with plate glass shop windows and a half-glazed door to the right, all sheltered by a canvas awning. Additionally, there is a half-glazed door at the far right, which has a cast iron sign bracket above it.
