Description
Nos. 26 and 26A on Church Street are a pair of houses dating from the 18th century. They are constructed of red brick, with some areas painted, and feature a plain tiled roof. The buildings are two storeys high, set on a plinth, and have a moulded dentil eaves cornice beneath a hipped roof. There are chimney stacks located to the centre left, centre right, and at the end right. Each house has three sash windows on both floors, with the two windows on the right of each floor having gauged heads. The entrance to No. 26 is a door with six raised panels, positioned centrally to the right, and is adorned with a pediment, pilasters, and a frieze. The entrance to No. 26A is located on the left return and features two sash windows on the first floor, one on the ground floor, and a part-glazed panelled door.
